Dive bar? Not even close. More of a restaurant that serves drinks. Food reasonable, large portions, and tasty. Quite a pleasant surprise. A large varied menu for all tastes. Best dining I've experienced at Houghton Lake to date.

The food was...serviceable
The quesadilla was a disappointment. It looked as though it could have spent another couple minutes on the grill as it was just barely crispy. It was stingy on the chicken and the onions (I got it without the peppers it came with) and the side of refried beans were inedible. They looked like they had been sitting out since yesterday. They were...crumbly?
The fish sandwich was the only plate that got a thumbs up
The chicken Caesar salad was okay. The dressing was good, the chicken was fine, the croutons were boring and the Parmesan cheese was practically non-existent
The service was the only thing that was good, especially considering how busy it was at 1:30pm on Memorial Day weekend. We didn't have to wait very long for our food, but maybe I rather would have waited a bit longer for a better product.
I don't think I'd return. -

Not sure I would classify this as a dive bar. Good food and good service. I had the fish finger which I highly suggest!

Clean, friendly diner that is just a short walk from HTL airport. Reuben sandwich was excellent. Manager has experience here going back to 1979 so had a lot of local knowledge that made for interesting conversation about parks and golf courses.
